Pip is a freelance creative from Cape Town, based in London. She specialises in identity design, art direction, typography, illustration, packaging and motion design for purpose-led, boundary-pushing brands and kind, open-minded people.
ABOUT
Pip grew up on a farm, and spent her childhood in nature - running in the rain of thunderstorms, bird-watching and bug collecting. Her unique upbringing continues to impact the curious way she sees the world, interacts with her peers, and the sensitive and intentional way in which she approaches projects. Pip completed a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication Design at the University of Stellenbosch. After graduating, she spent time working with and learning from industry leaders at independent design studios in Cape Town. She began a freelance career in 2021 and has since worked with clients from various sectors, as well as collaborating with a wide network of other creatives and studios from South Africa and abroad. She is currently based in London, England.APPROACH
Pip begins projects with thorough research, interviews and concept work – often in partnership with a strategist – to ensure the client’s needs are understood and can be appropriately interpreted. She aims to create work that is simultaneously accessible and unexpected, and often combines digital and analogue methods in order to reach a final execution. She’s happiest creating work that feels bold, playful, detailed and thoughtful.FOCUS
